And the Arizona Diamondbacks are keeping them playing. Think about all of the fields you played on as a kid or teenager. I am willing to bet those fields were less baseball or softball field and more like something out of the movie Sandlot. Long, uncut grass that was more weed than grass. Dusty, rocky dirt that has been there since the beginning of time. You spent more time learning how to defend yourself from ground balls that bobbed and weaved like a boxer trying to hit you in the face, than learning the fundamentals of the game. Isn’t it ironic that the most experienced players, the ones who should be able to field those unpredictable ground balls, get to play on the most predictable fields. Not anymore. The Arizona Diamondbacks are leveling the playing field, literally.
Here at Stabilizer Solutions, we have been grateful to be a part of the ‘Diamonds Back’ Youth Field Building Program since its inception in 2000. The Eric Byrnes Field dedication officially opened the gates on the twenty ninth ‘Diamonds Back’ field. Eric Byrnes field features Stabilizer® Pro Red Infield Mix, Stabilizer® Warning Track Mix Hilltopper® Mound Clay. We enjoyed building this field, as it is always an amazing transformation with each ‘Diamonds Back’ Field. Please enjoy these photos from the event.
